The New Batman Superman Adventures.
Once The Real Ghostbusters stopped airing back in the early eighties, there was a huge void of delicious cartoons. The new wave, if you will, started with the new Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, which had a decidedly dark tone unparalleled in previous versions. Not only was the tone spot on, but the overall design was something new (Gotham City has never looked finer), the characters really stood out and the stories were invariably good.
The same animation style was used in the Superman: The Animated series, which gave some much-needed revamping to Superman and his rogues gallery. Guest-stars (Flash, Dr. Fate, Green Lantern) abound in these series, hoorah!
THE THEME: Batman fights crime. Superman fights crime.

Most of my Batman episodes were taped directly from TV. All of the Superman eps were acquired through trades, and their quality ranges from fair to very good. They are 22 minutes long, commercial free (mostly).
